Colman Getty was founded in 1987 by its Chief Executive, Dotti Irving. Today the company employs 40 members of staff and is based in central London.
We work in small teams, each with a wide range of expertise and each led by a highly experienced Associate Director. Much of our work is project-based while other clients have been retained over a number of years.
Dotti set up Colman Getty in 1987, after a decade at Penguin Books. From the start the agency reflected two of her passions - culture and campaigning on workplace and business issues.
Dotti has been instrumental in profile development of clients including Harry Potter author JK Rowling, domestic goddess Nigella Lawson, and Carl Gilleard, Chief Executive of the AGR.
With an extensive contacts base that spans arts, culture, business and the media, she also handles high-level sponsorship and partnership deals on behalf of Colman Getty's clients.
Although Colman Getty has expanded to a team of forty from the original start-up of two, Dotti endeavours to remain in contact with clients and to be involved in much of the strategic and creative thinking that Colman Getty is renowned for.
